To welcome the year 2021,on 02/01/2021 Ocean Sustainability Club has successfully conducted a Beach Clean up campaign and COVID-19 awareness program at Patanga Sea beach, Chattogram. Young seafarers member of the club took part in the program by distributing face musks among the general citizens and encourage them to keep their hand clean by using hand sanitizer .
Beside CORONA awareness program,a successful beach clean up campaign also conducted by collecting plastic bottles,packets, torn part of nylon rope, tin can etc from the beach area. During the clean up program members of the club also took the opportunity to educate general citizen about the bad impacts of plastic to our Oceans as well as for our surrounding environment.
Finally General Secretary of the club Capt. Feroz Mostafa conducted a discussion session with the young members of the club to further educate them on the importance of conducting such kind of program to educate different stakeholders and citizens of our society towards creating a sustainable ocean environment. Thanks to all volunteer club members for their great commitment and hole hearted participation to make the program a successful one.
